If your looking for a great investment in gemstones right now, grab all the Tanzanite you can find. If you find a Tanzanite with a AAA Grade, preferably rich, deep, bluish hues, HOLD ON TO IT, no matter what size or cut it is. Why? Do your research and you will find out that Tanzanite is a relatively newly found (1962) gemstone from Tanzania, and found only in Tanzania. These beautifully colored gems are becoming harder and harder to find in the mine. If they cannot find anymore, guess what, supply and demand will drive up the prices considerably. In 10 to 20 years it is anyone's guess what the price will be...
If you get a loose tanzanite gem, use a reputable jeweler to set it. This gem is susceptible to thermal shock and should never be in a ultrasonic or steamed. 6 to 7 on Mohs Scale.
